At RLT, in addition to our theatrical exploits, we host a wide range of social activities which are open to members and the general public alike. Over the next few months we have a number of events which bring everyone together in between shows as well as raising much needed funds to help produce more of our award winning productions.
Following a successful first appearance early this month we are pleased to announce that Nicola Mills will be returning for another Opera For The People event. Nicola is due to be in America for 3 months, but we are currently looking at a date in August with the idea of her performing outside on the patio - a sort of mini Glyndebourne!
In addition, on Saturday July 28, RLT member Jayne Marshall will be staging a preview of the latest version of her play Cry for The Moon (which some of you may have seen at The Festival Theatre in 2016) ahead of a run a the Edinburgh Festival in August. Acting Academy are performing their year end showcase on the weekend of Saturday July 21.
Away from The Wharf, Sue Penton is looking at having an event at her house on the May bank holiday to raise funds towards production costs for Nell Gwynn - look out for more details of this soon.
